The County Aparthotel

It was close to the train and metro station and not too far from both main bus stations. The property was clean and staff were friendly and professional. There was 24 hour reception service.

There was a continuous noise from a generator throughout the day and night which was very annoying during the night. There was no dustpan and brush or washing up liquid to clean up with during our stay. There was a dishwasher with tablets provided but as it was a 2 person apartment it didn’t seem appropriate to use it everyday for so few dishes etc. There were only two of everything, including cutlery, which meant we couldn’t load and leave the dishwasher use until the end of our stay.

The property was amazing. It was the same high quality you get at The County Hotel only more private.

The penthouse suite was spacious, with everything you needed for a few days stay. It had good light due to all the windows and it was in a good location.

All of the curtains were sheer mesh curtains so didn’t feel very private as it felt like people could see into the diner kitchen from the other rooms, and the bedroom was facing a rooftop bar (thankfully it was closed) but again didn’t feel very private. The room was dirty, floor was dirty from entrance to kitchen. Bath had dirty marks on. Walls in small toilet had dirty marks up it. Main bathroom had cobwebs and it was just very dusty all round. One of the bath towels I took fresh off the radiator to use and it was black with dirty marks. The shower head was mouldy and covered in lime scale and the bathroom sinks didn’t drain properly so filled up quickly. One male receptionist cut me off when I went to express my concerns around the towel so I rang from the room and a lady answered who was a new staff member and she was very helpful and polite and apologetic.
