Always stay at the Hilton so easy and central either by train or car

The Hampton by Hilton in Newcastle is in an ideal location, right next to the train station and the metro station. It is surrounded by many restaurants, bars and take aways.
The room is a standard hotel room, clean and with the usual facilities.
The buffet breakfast was very good, with a lot of choice and freefrom choices.
The reception is on floor 2 and you need to use your room card to get back in the main door in the evening. This isn’t very obvious and this wasn’t explained to us either, even though we had arrived early evening.
The bed is very hard. I’m glad we were only there for one night.
If we were staying in Newcastle again I would pick one of the other hotels next to the train station because the bed was much too hard for me.

It was clean that’s all really I can say about the place nothing like the last time we stayed
The 3 night stay we got woken up at 5am in the morning to banging in the yard, sounds like the bins were getting changed and bottles etc, also on the website it said we got a discount in the car park like the last time we stayed, was told to ask at reception on way out, which I did and he told me it automatically went off, which it didn’t so I was not happy about that either
