Reception staff were great and the location is perfect to explore Newcastle, plenty of easy street parking nearby too.
The building has great history and the hotel itself was great.
The room was quirky, old school luxury and cool but smelt pretty bad and all attempts to air it out and running all the taps wasn’t successful. If we stayed longer I would have requested to change room. I’m sure the staff would have been happy to offer a solution if we requested but for a one night stay we weren’t fussed.
Going by all the great reviews of the 2 bedroom apartment I wish we got that but we booked last minute and this was all that was left.

The apartments are in a fab location just a five minute walk up in to the centre or straight out onto the quayside which is amazing and there was a fantastic market on the sunday! The apartment was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Pillows where a little too hard. Could have done with easier access in to the apartment late at night, maybe just be able to use a code for the door.

Entrance & Reception: Very nice decor with a stylish Art Deco theme.
Bedrooms: Clean, nicely presented, and feature comfortable beds with TVs in both rooms.
Bathrooms: Convenient setup (one en-suite, plus a separate full bathroom). They come equipped with high-quality hand wash, shampoo, body wash, and lovely fluffy towels.
Overall Condition: The property feels tired and is in clear need of some TLC.
Windows & Noise: The bedroom windows were extremely dirty, completely blocking the view. Severe street/nightlife noise from local bars and clubs lasted until around 4:00 AM.
Living Area Layout: The seating area felt odd and uncomfortable—more like a pub bench seat than a relaxing sofa to watch TV.
Kitchen Issues:
The dishwasher door was broken and wouldn't close, rendering it unusable.
The kitchen sink had no plug, making washing dishes unnecessarily difficult.
