Melissi Beach Hotel & Spa

The hotel was truly excellent. We booked the all inclusive package for our stay and we were happy with the experience. To explain how it works - with the all inclusive you get access to 3 main meals a day, unlimited drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) almost all day every day, and you also get access to unlimited ice cream and various sandwiches and snacks from the morning until lunch time, and from lunch time until dinner by the pool. The main meals were great, breakfast and lunch offer mostly the same menu every day, but there is incredible variety in every meal, and it is very easy for anyone to find something that would suit his taste. It was also easy for us to find things that our 1 year old would like to eat, which was a concern we had initially but after seeing the food offered we had no trouble at all. For dinner every night features a kitchen of a different kind, during our stay we had Greek night, Italian, middle eastern, Asian to name a few. Dinner has a set portion that is the same for every night, and the main dishes are focused around the specific kitchen for that night. In any case the food variety, quality and taste are really good. Of course it is not restaurant level, but it is good enough that across the 5 nights of our stay, we didn't feel the need to leave the hotel to eat outside. The hotel has a large pool area with plenty of sunbeds and a bar close by that can be used to order drinks, snacks or ice cream. The hotel has direct access to the beach and also provides beach towels. There is a kids room which is meant for kids older than our 1 year, but when we took him there, he still had toys that he could play with and the staff was happy to see him and play with him. Every night after dinner there are activities in the bar area such as a live singer, bingo night and others. We didn't get to participate in those because our kid goes to sleep early, but they are probably a good way to pass the time in the evening.

There are only 2 main elevators which are pretty small and slow. A lot of people need to use those elevators to go around and this means we spent a lot of time just waiting for an elevator to arrive, and sometimes when it did arrive it was too full for us to go in with a child in a stroller. Of course this is not a problem if you can take the stairs, but unfortunately for us with the stroller it was not convenient and we were forced to wait for the elevators. It might be because we stayed during early October, but the water in the pool were pretty cold, and in any case colder than what we expected

J'ai voyagé de très nombreuses fois à l'étranger et cet établissement fait partie de ceux que j'ai le plus apprécié. La propreté doit être le leitmotiv du personnel qui est d'une gentillesse extrême et tres souriant Le restaurant nous a offert une variété gustative extraordinaire par des thèmes chaque jour différents (Italien, asiatique, BBQ, grecque, méditerranéen) et de belles quantités Les chambres sont spacieuses et insonorisées. Si vous faites un séjour à Chypre, il serait dommage de passer à côté de cet établissement qui se trouve à proximité de tous les commerces et d'accès direct à une plage au sable fin et à une mer caraibienne. Toutes les piscines sont magnifiquement conçues pour être agréable dans un cadre fleuri et reposant.

Absolutely amazing stay at Melissi Beach Hotel! We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ayia Napa. We arrived with a rental car, and the hotel has convenient parking, which was a big plus. Every single member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. You can really feel that the team cares about the guests and wants everyone to have a great stay. The hotel itself is very clean, well maintained and beautifully organized. The entertainment team was honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced! We came with our two children, and the entertainment team were absolutely wonderful with them. They treated our kids as if they were their own, always making sure they were having fun, including them in activities and giving them so much attention and care. Our children absolutely loved it and had such a great time. It really made our family holiday even more special. The food was absolutely amazing! Every evening had a different theme, with a huge variety of dishes, plenty of choices and generous amounts of food. Everything we tried was delicious, and there was always something new to look forward to at dinner. The hotel also has a beautiful private beach, a large and clean swimming pool, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a really relaxing spa. The whole place has a great atmosphere, with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy yourself. The location is also excellent — close enough to everything in Ayia Napa, while still feeling like a relaxing resort where you can escape and enjoy some peace. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and genuinely didn’t want to leave. I would definitely come back here again without hesitation. Location of the hotel was good nice and close to the centre of Ayia Napa, The main Bar man was nice and good to chat with. Outdoor facilities was nice, just a shame the weather the week we was there wasn't great so couldn't be fully enjoyed. Some days the food was nice but lacked quality. The manager when approached was friendly and took all our points onboard and seemed like he cared, just a shame some of the staff didn't.

Our stay at this hotel was ruined by what seems to be a lack of preparation to be open. We had stayed at the hotel just as the season was about to start. But the staff seemed like they was prepared to be open to guests. For the amount of money we paid for this hotel it was not worth the money. Staff was ill informed and also not great at there job. The child play facilities was good but ruined by the staff that run it. Also the adult entertainment was below poor. Only 1 evening did the entertainment actually entertain. Which was an outside band/Duo that was very good.
