Hotel Zugspitze is an ideal hotel for visiting Garmisch. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, welcoming and well appointed, the breakfast is outstanding -- and most importantly the location is perfect. It is only a short walk to the main square to enjoy all the shops, restaurants and afternoon cocktails in this elegant alpine town. This was a major highlight of our recent trip in Germany, France and Amsterdam. Pro tip: If you are arriving via car, there is ample parking a short walk south near the Olympic Ice Stadium.
