The place, the vibe and the service was amazing. Hotel is right in the heart of Kyoto, walkable to most of the tourist attractions. Loved the hospitality by manager Zhao. She ensured our stay was comfortable and we were provided with everything that was needed. Zhao went out of her way to help us. Thank you Zhao. Love from India ❤️

The hotel itself was pretty good - big and clean room with big bathtub to relax after spending your whole day travelling. The room could use a little more light from the outside, but that's not something the hotel can control - they can't demolish the buildings nearby :) We liked that it was very quiet and peaceful - the area is residential, so you're unlikely to hear any noises that'll disturb your sleep. The shoji on the windows are pretty good - you can let fresh air in while still keeping your privacy. It's also nice to have a safe in the room - in case you want to keep something extra-extra safe. Just in case you travel with your gold bullions :) There's a really nice laundry nearby, so don't take a lot of clothes with you - the laundry is wash + dry, it's cheap, and it only takes 50 minutes for the whole cycle, so you can keep your clothes fresh. 24/7 convenience store is in ~5 minute walking radius, which is also a big plus - convenience stores in Japan are amazing. There's also a big green park nearby. The staff was also friendly - with one exception, however.

The hotel also offers bike rentals service - however, I can't recommend it, as we've had a very weird experience. We've asked the receptionist to reserve us two bikes for 26th of October two days in advance, however, asking the guy at the reception on 26th I've got the answer that all bikes are booked and I can't rent them - which was a surprise, given how I was given a positive answer two days before. When my wife asked the guy again, he told us that we don't have a reservation. Overall, the guy was very disinterested in the whole situation, and offered no help at all - given how the problem was on the hotel's side, it was pretty unpleasant. The guy at the reception offered no help and when asked if we now should go and look for bikes elsewhere answered "yeah". A little help like pointing nearby bike rentals or calling them and telling them to put a couple of bikes aside because two tourists are coming to rent them would have been a much nicer gesture. Another thing to double check is the location - the location is a little bit further from the metro than we expected. After a long walking tour around Kyoto it was a little bit tiring to walk from the metro to the hotel. However, if you are okay with using a bus or will mostly drive around during the day, then it should be fine. But again, it's not much of a problem, rather something you should double check.

モノクロを基調としたお部屋でとても楽しかったです。

部屋着なし、充電器の貸出無し。 アメニティが充実してませんでした。 クレンジングオイルはなく、化粧水や乳液等はありませんでした。 部屋着がないのがショックでしたね。 朝食の提供もなかったので、ショックが大きかったです。

Big room and excellent service

The hotel is new. Beautiful interior and very clean rooms with portable air filtration system. Beds are very comfortable. We liked the lounge/breakfast room had microwave and toaster available for our use. Wonderful architecture books and other tourist info magazines were available in the lounge. Close to Imadegawa subway station, Imperial Palace, and buses on Horikawa.

The hotel is located in centre of Kyoto, only 4 metro stops from Kyoto station. The rooms are comfortable and big enough. The Internet was working without any problems and well equipped (towels, coffee, water, hair dryer). Totally recommend it for a stay in Kyoto.

The communication could be improved. There was additional city tax, so it’s worth adding this information on booking.

Hotel was as advertised. Rooms were clean, relatively spacious, and the hotel has a ninja theme. The check-in was fast and efficient. There is a vending machine for drinks inside, that is appreciated. There is also a common room where you can grab a drink along with a selection of books in English and Japanese. In addition, there is a garden outside with a couple of tables. The location is close to the Imperial Palace, there are a few convenience stores nearby and other food joints.

The staff was really helpful and pleasant. What was a very difficult start for us was made instantly better once we got to the hotel. Highly recommended.

Very clean and the amenities were top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was excellent. I would just warn people about the lost room key charge. Crazy.

I wish you served breakfast. Charging $3000 yen for a lost room key was ridiculous. Most hotels don’t even ask for them back.

Nice and clean

Very nice location in a quiet residential district, right next to the imperial palace. Clean room with almost everything you need and enough space to scatter your collection of souvenirs.

It is a little bit far to get to the nearest subway station for people carrying heavy luggage.

Location perfect, staff perfect, space more then enough, everything new and clean, atmosphere of Ninjas is WoW!!! No extra payments. Ultra highly recommend!
