We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Banyan. The condo had a nice amount of space for family meals and was in a convenient location. There were a few times the pool was closed when we wanted to use it but overall liked the pool, hot tubs, sauna and the space for grilling. The elevators were very slow and one was not working most of the time.

We liked the location and the size of the space. We were able to have meals together and also loved the grills! The pool area, sauna and outdoor space was nice. The pool was closed during the day a few times we wanted to use it but overall we enjoyed the amenities.

Good position, good views of Diamond Head and the beach, close to the main beach and main street, only a 3 minute walk. Air con needs replacing, unit was noisy and filter vent kept falling off, and fan speed didn't work across 3 speeds, only medium speed. Unit clean, communication good, lifts are very slow, sometimes 5 to 10mins waiting for a lift. Also a kettle could not be located.

The place was clean and modern. Could have used a little TLC in a few spots but no more than you'd expect from a rental. The view was great even with a few large buildings in the way. Just a sorry walk from the beach and good shopping.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. Check-in and check-out was very smooth and straightforward. I truly appreciated that there wasn’t a laundry list of check out procedures that occurs with other rentals. Property is a 5-10 minute walk to Waikiki Beach and nearby shops- very convenient. The free parking was a big plus. Nice-sized kitchen with full-size stove, oven microwave, refrigerator and other appliances. Keep in mind that items such as spices (except salt, pepper and some sugar) and condiments are not furnished if this is a norm for you. Because of this, we did not cook as much as desired.Bedroom and living area were comfortable and adequate. We appreciated the beach towels, chairs and umbrellas!Though not the fault of the unit or rental company, be aware that there may be disruptions due to multiple sirens/emergencies in the neighborhood. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend earplugs.Rating is four stars because again it was a nice stay. However, the cleanliness and condition, specifically the bathroom and kitchen appliances (fingerprints) could be improved. There is paint peeling in the bathroom and the bathroom fan has a large collection of dust in the vent. Bathtub appears to be slightly older with some wear and tear.Although we probably would not rent this particular unit again, we would gladly rent with Captain Cook again!

Room is a dump. Asked front reception to use the restroom and they said restrooms are locked and can only be used by permanent residents. Parking garage spots are too small.

We stayed here on a quick 4-day trip while I was working in Kapolei. It's the perfect location for all of what you need in Waikiki. Byron our contact was great and the unit and building were everything you'd expect for a reasonably priced condo in town. Would definitely stay again! Aloha.

The property was perfect for our Hawaii stay.
Location was good, away from the main traffic of Waikiki but close enough to enjoy everything it has to offer.
The building was comfortable, property is maintained very well. Elevators are fast, we never had to wait too long. Parking was perfect especially for Waikiki there was always spots available. Unit was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and had everything that you would need.
We visit Oahu often and this was the first time staying in Waikiki...we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay here again.

The best quality of this rental is it location and short walking distance to the beach. Renovations (drilling noise) in the apartment above made our stay less enjoyable. We would likely stay here again, but would book directly through Captain Cook Resorts (owner) in the future.

The property was as described. Pleasantly surprised by the full amenities that allowed us to have a relaxing self catering stay. The view of Diamond head was exceptional. In a great location for all of the downtown Waikiki essentials. It was great to have a retreat at the end of a day of exploring. Spa and pool facilities are available but it’s a first come first serve basis. However it can get noisy at night due to its downtown high rise location where loud exhausts and sirens are personified. Also the loo roll, pack your own unless you don’t mind see through provisions!

The Waikiki Banyan was very easy to find and was within 2 blocks of the beach. It was very convenient to the activities that we wanted to do in Honolulu.
The check in process was a little inconvenient as the property manager Byron did not meet us at first and told us to park the car and go up to the unit to get the parking pass and then go back down and park the car in a space. It worked out okay.
Then we had trouble turning on the TV and he did come to the unit and turn it on. However when we tried to use the TV the first night it would not go to any other channel except TVland so that’s all we could watch. I texted Byron and he did not respond. We stay in our room of an evening and watching TV is important to us. This was very disappointing. The remote had corroded batteries that needed to be replaced.
The unit was comfortable enough for us. The kitchen had what we needed for a few days. The bed was comfortable enough. The electrical outlets in the bedroom only had one plug that was working on each and should be addressed.
The view was amazing and the lanai was spacious. The unit could stand to be refreshed and repainted. It was a bit worn.
The condo met our expectations for the most part except for the TV. The best thing about it that it was convenient to activities we wanted to do and it was comfortable and safe.

Our stay couldn’t have been any better! This is a bright, spacious unit with a sweeping view of Diamondhead and a partial ocean view. It is stocked with everything you could possibly need-we couldn’t believe how much thought was put into it-and the unit was nice and clean!
The washer (just a door down the hall from this unit) wasn’t working while we were there, but we just buzzed down a floor. Still, very convenient having it so close once it is fixed.
Check-in and check-out was an absolute breeze and parking was always available.
The location was fantastic! Just a quick walk to the beach (chairs, umbrella, and boogie board were included with the rental, too!), many restaurants, lots of shopping, and access to the best of the area’s nightlife! We are looking forward to another visit!

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. Pros; cleanliness, ease of check in and out, great communication, great location, the unit itself is up to date with great counter tops and appliances except for the TV but I understand if you're on vacation you won't be doing much TV watching but if you have a rest day on your itinerary a newer TV is recommended. Almost everything you will need during a short stay the unit has. Only cons; the building itself needs some renovating specifically the carpet in the hallways and you hear the ambulance a lot while you are there, which is expected if you are in the heart of any city but it didn't interfere with our sleep. We are really happy with our stay and would 100% recommendthis unit.

Can’t say enough about this condo, we stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and we absolutely loved it!! Very clean and comfortable and check in and check out was a breeze! Our property manager was very responsive and accessible. Gorgeous view out the window and this condo was perfect location for walking to the beach and to shops/restaurants! We rented a car for the week and we loved that parking and Wi-Fi was included in the price! Highly recommend getting a rental car to explore the island! Everything was amazing and would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here while dropping off our daughter at UH for her freshman year. Very happy with the unit. It was a god value for the nightly rate. Good central location and management was helpful. Parking is included, but if you rent an SUV the spots are limited and you may have to street park.

The condo is a small one bedroom right on the edge of Waikiki. It's an easy walk to the beach, zoo, shopping, and many great restaurants. The arrival process is complicated due to the size of the condo complex, but the clean place and access make up for it. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall great property and location. A/c felt great and it was good too come to a cool room after a long day at the gym. Walking distance from the beach and having parking included was well worth it.
My kids loved place and it didn’t feel cramped with them running around.
Only complaint was the sofa bed dipped in the middle and the beach umbrellas did not work.

Property was clean, view was post card perfect, property manager was helpful and freindly. My boys are all older, so they took advantage of the hot tub, but there is a pool and playground for the little bitties, if you have smaller children.

Great place to take a break from the busy city. The ac felt fantastic and the view is wonderful! Our days were very busy outside the apartment but then it was very nice to come back and relax on the couch for an hour and look out at diamond head/the ocean.
