Friendly staff, made my sister and myself really comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice, with danishes, porridge and hot food. Some cooked to order. Great location 5 min from train station and town.

Just location and breakfast.

In winter, the air conditioner in the house blows cold air. We callled two times, and after almost 2 hours, They brought a big electric heater. There still have a small electric heater in room normally, so it can be seen that the room is usually heated by a small electric heater. The shower also broken. Never see any 4 star hotel like this. And something bit me in the middle of the night and it was very itchy.

The location was perfect

Paid extra for views but, due to the ancient single pane windows, you couldn't see much. The lift was useless, the shower leaked, the tea kit wasn't replenished after asking, the parking is a rip off and the staff couldn't care less. The hotel certainly wasn't worth the price

Noisy reception like a fish market. Not all lifts are working. Long time to wait disturbing . Not frank front desk staff and most of them not friendly. The room was very cold . Old signs and directions confused most of the customers.

Room was lovely, bed very comfortable, great facilities, lovely view. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice, cooked breakfast was hot and tasty.

Central heating wasn't working , was just blowing out cold air so room was freezing. We had to get under bed covers to get warm. We spoke to reception who were very helpful but couldn't manage to get heating working.

The location is good the breakfast was great and the beds were comfortable

Tried to have a bath and the plug was to big for the hole the maintenance man came and changed it for a new one which was the same size as the one he had taken off eventually he found the correct size plug and the bath was trying to be filled but stopped after a while as only lukewarm water came out. The cleaners didn’t refill the tea facility and even left dirty mugs in room. No one explained on checking in that if breakfast was booked the day before it would be £5 cheaper. When trying to book breakfast the girl on front desk didn’t understand English.

Location was really good, the noise from our next door was horrendous! I hardly got any sleep which was what I needed :-(

Very central, good value for money.

If i was being really picky, it could do with a freshen up but I believe renovations are in progress. This didn't affect our stay.

All staff I encountered were lovely and could not do enough to help me.

The entrance area is not very nice with the refurbishment. My bed had a very dubious looking stain on the base which I only discovered at 1am when I went up to the room. The toilet was constantly dripping and the door was really hard to open and close as it kept getting jammed.

The plug didn’t fit in the bath so had to have a shower. Mattress was a bit hard and pillows aren’t great. Homeless people in car park.

Basically the WiFi was on exsisant in the room, during my stay I moved rooms 4 times, due to the WiFi, I know it might now sound imprott to most people, but when you not from the uk WiFi is important due to roaming charges, incompalimg about this on my first night, lady at reception put password in for conference WiFi" this soon dropped of when entering the room, I spent most of the morning walking around Manchester the next day, on returning to my room the WiFi not working again, I spoke to Rebecca around 2pm and and explained, she transferred me to maisha, who was amazing and so polite, considering she's only been their a short time, she moved me to another room, same issues again, after a few hours of complaining, up and down the lifts, I requested a refund to I could move to another hotel, they spoke to the duty manager on at that time, Jordon, he took it upon himself to do a speed test on the floor inwss staying, he came back down and said Thier isn't anything wrong with the WiFi, (yes the WiFi does work on the corridors) i said you need to go into a room, his reply was he can't do that! He refused me a refund because the time had last, considering I'd been complaining since 2pm and at this point it was 5pm, infoimd him to be very rude towards me, after many discussions the girl who was guests relations manager said I'd have to contact booking.com as I booked through them to sort out a refund, but they would need to send a email for the hotel to consider this, I explained i didn't pay booking.

The location was fantastic. The staff were helpful.

The room was dirty when we arrived. There were two days where there was no hotel water for us. Housekeeping didn't attend our room until the day we checked out. The room keys were problematic, the doors were hard to open. We had to keep going to reception for new ones. This was very common. Every time we went to reception regarding the room keys, others were there about their room keys.

Doors for the rooms never seem to be shut properly. Door for bathroom didn’t close.

Loved the location, it was very central and was easily accessible for the car park and the street, loved that they put all of our rooms together as we had booked multiple rooms.

Limited plug sockets by the bed. Paint coming off the wall in the bathroom.

The house keeping staff ruined the full experience

Flexible early check in and we’re very accomodating. We got a drink voucher and some other little perks for bank holiday weekend.
