The location was very relaxing, spacious .... monkies are on site swinging on the trees ... rooms are clean, very functional bathroom....

It is a beautiful location. The gardens and the pool are very beautiful. It is a short journey up hill to Machame village, where beautiful views of Kilimanjaro can be seen, weather permitting. The receptionists are friendly, professional and helpful.

I didn't like the attitude of some of the waiting staff in particular. They seemed to view us as second class because we were not white tourists. I resent the fact that everything was priced in USD too, but maybe this is my fault for making a bad choice in the first place?! The breakfast was inconsistent. The first morning was excellent in terms of choice BUT, they need to work out a way to keep things warmer as mornings in Machame are cold!!! The second day did not meet the standards of the first day at all, the bacon was basically red and raw. The fruit on both mornings was not ripe. The cost, for local guests for dinner or lunch are extortionate and not worth writing about in terms of quality. Luckily we found the Sunset Sports Bar, a bit further down on the main road, where a meal for two, including drinks, cost 12-14,000 TZS as opposed to the 60-70,000 TZS Aishi charge! I was looking a local, weekend get away and an opportunity to explore somewhere different in my local region. Sadly, this, it was not. Also, considering the prices, the interiors of the place came across to me as tired, dark and outdated!

Great pool, friendly staff, grounds look great and even got a breakfast box due to leaving early.

I booked standard room and I ended sleeping in twin beds. The joint of the twin beds were very hard and ended sleeping on one single bed with my wife. The food was almost same every day from lunch to dinner Cleanness of the room was not up to standard and we ended up with mild flue

Clean, cosy and the staff was polite, friendly and very helpful. The environment was beautiful, quiet with plenty of fresh air.

Some rooms need updating, though some renovation works going on.

The personnel was very nice, carrying and very educated...The ONLY THING! The location is very green but only if you intend not to move from the hotel...

...mediocre food, rooms and very far and expensive for what they offer...mainly buffets style food...not much variation

The tranquility of the place. The swimming pool area. The dining area. The walk down to the river. The garden. Everything!

Shower in our room could be updated. Safes in the rooms did not work but reception offered to lock our valuables. So not an issue. This should not deter you form going there.
