Mooi comfortabel hotel midden in Casco Viejo, vriendelijk personeel.
Veel geluid van rooftop bars in de omgeving in de avond en nacht, oordoppen nodig om te slapen, ook verkrijgbaar bij receptie van hotel.

At the centre of Casco, very central and easy to reach to sightseeing soots
Our room was facing the road where locals partied most of the night. Other rooms might be better choice

The bedroom was very clean and neat. The location excellent. The beds comfortable.
I didn't like being told that I had a taxi reserved for 5:00 a.m., having to pay cash for this the day before without a receipt ( they said it get one from the taxi), waking up to find that no taxi had been ordered, and then getting a hard time - and really having to use my Spanish - to get my $35 back. I ended up calling an Uber, which actually cost me less. Then I had to make the Uber wait while the morning receptionist proved to himself that I had reserved a taxi and had paid the money, until he almost begrudgingly gave me my taxi money back. All this happened while roads in the area were closed due to the protests, making everybody edgy and causing delays in getting around and to the airport. This was very stressful.
On another note, this is more of a hostel, so there is a kitchen with a shared space and places to put your food stuffs. The kitchen was a bit messy, but not horrible. Still it could have been much better.

Location was fantastic. The bathroom was not connected to our room and meant we had to leave the room, and use a key to use the bathroom across the hall which was not advertised. We changed rooms and all was fine after that. Felt like the hotel had a hostel feel to it with a kitchen for traveller to use and fridges to keep food in, which I did not expect, but did not mind at all. The rooms were large and comfortable.

Magnolia Inn was immaculately clean, in a great location, and such a great value for the money! Would absolutely stay here again.
Nothing, everything was great!

I really appreciate the staff and how informative they were. I made a mistake of booking the room for next year and it was quickly taken care of and luckily there was a room available. The location of the inn is wonderful, walking distance to all the historical landmarks, great restaurants, bars, and shopping. If you are into history I recommend checking out the Panama Canal Museum which is less than a 5-minute walk from the inn. I traveled solo and felt very safe in the area. I stayed 2 nights on separate dates since this was a stopover before heading to Playa Venao and heading home. The room was immaculate, mattress and linens were great, and the air conditioning strong. The inn is also a dormitory rooms/hostel. Guests who are staying in the regular hotel rooms have access to the common area and the kitchen if you need it. The kitchen also gives you access to self-serve coffee and tea.
Everything was fine.

The hotel itself has a very regal feel with marble everywhere and leather couches! Nice touches like a deco pillow on the dorm beds make the place feel special. Coffee provided - always wins my heart! Fantastic location!!!!
Air con was weak.

Wonderful location. Clean rooms. Quiet enough to sleep. Staff and hotel takes extra measures for guest safety and provide a map of places that tells guests safe places to walk at night and places to avoid at night. Extremely kind and welcoming. Would stay again. One review said no towels but we had no issue with this during our stay.

Beautiful and historic architecture in an incredible part of the city.
The lock on my door was dysfunctional, which required 2min of playing with lock when unlocking and locking door every time when coming and going each time. Both rooms I stayed in could have been more thoroughly cleaned. TV did not work in first room I stayed in, and also found a cockroach that first night was there. Overpriced given the room conditions.

Excellent location, clean and aesthetic facility, comfortable beds, really nice and helpful staff.
There were no privacy curtains.

The beds were comfortable. AC in the room and common areas. Hot water. Clean. Friendly staff who provided lots of recommendations for the area and Panama. Free coffee. Excellent location in Casa Viejo (apart from the noise from neighbouring buildings).
No curtains on the dorm beds and hence no privacy. No curtains on the main window in the dorm room so once it was bright in the morning you woke up.
We stayed on a Friday & Saturday night and there was people shouting and music blaring 24/7 from the hostels neighbours. This made it very difficult to sleep and was very frustrating. The hostel ensured us that they call the police regularly however these two evenings it continued all night.
On two occasions my boyfriend was asked to sit up properly on the common area couches and was told that lying down is not allowed. There was no one else in the common area at the time so this seemed very over the top. When my boyfriend asked why he couldn’t lie down the security guard told him that 4 security cameras were watching him. This was really weird and very off putting.
Because of the above we found the stay very over priced as you are paying for the excellent location but this was totally ruined for us by the neighbouring noise. Also for the price curtains in the dorm room on the beds and windows should definitely be included.
It seemed hard for solo people to meet here as it is a hotel vibe and no activities organised.

very nice dorm with nice wooden floors, no bunkbeds, super clean, very spacious, good and private bathrooms. There was no AC in our dorm but we actually prefer that and in its stead there were fans and also on our floor there was a nice breeze at night that made it cool enough (They have AC dorms as well if you really need that). The view out of the small balcony was nice too. Kitchen and common area were very good.
The hostel is a little pricy but they do deliver, although it should be a little less expensive. The area around is really loud (which is normal though and they can’t do anything about it). The streets in Casco Viejo are full of honking cars and right outside the hostel there is a squatted building where a bunch or locals put on inexplicably loud music on the weekend (from 6pm to 6am and its louder than most concerts). For us the noise was okay though, it’s what you get in Panama City.

Location was great, staff wonderfully knowledgeable, but even on the top floor, the bar noise from below was unbearable.

Magnolia is part hostel and has private rooms. The private room was small and basic. There is a shared kitchen and sitting area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is perfectly located in Casco Viejo.
My private toom was on street level and smelled musty. I ran the dehumidifier and air conditioner and that took care of it for me.

Staff was very friendly and l really enjoyed staying there. Very close to tourist attractions.

The room met our expectations based on our previous stays in Latin America. Nothing fancy but it provided what we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't give high marks for value but then I understand that we were paying for location and that Panama City is a more expensive city.
Air conditioner was noisy.

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and they spoke good English. The location was also great.
Not much, there was a big window that let a lot of light in to our dorm in the morning but otherwise it was good.

Excellent price and location. Very clean too.
All good, well I think it was more the mosquitoes but that’s the city. I booked a 12 people shared bedroom. It was a huge spacious room with the 12 beds and two shared bathrooms and showers. There were only 3 people in total, I’m with 12 it would feel crowded, but still all good.

Nice and clean room with a/c and towels in Casco Viejo. Good tips from the receptionists. Nice common kitchen.
The room we had was on the ground floor with a window directly to the street, so passing passengers could see into the room when the curtains were not closed.

location. central in the heart of casco viejo.
The hotel was extremely noisy in the evening and during night time due to loud music being played at surrounding buildings. The music continued till deep in the night. We stayed two nights (Wednesday and Thursday) and were woken up/did not sleep till 3 in the morning, even with ear plugs.

The location is excellent, in the centre of Casco Viejo. The place to be for sightseeing and going out! People at the reception are friendly and speak perfect English.
I cannot recommend the shared room with 12 beds for your night rest. As there is no airconditioning (so it is really hot) and for this reason all windows are open which brings a lot of outside noise in the room. No problem for going out at night but not for resting. If you can spare the money and like sleeping maybe go for a more luxurous room.

Located in an old building in the heart of Casco Antiguo, this hotel has a lot of charme. Everything is a mix of modern and antique elements. The place is very clean, has a spacious common area with balconies to sit on, modern showers and bathrooms with hot water and every bed in the dorms has an outlet and a little lamp. My dorm had airconditioning, a balkony and a locker for every bed.
From the hotel, you can reach restaurants, supermarkets and an ATM in 2 minutes, and a lot of historical buildings are all around the area.
The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful, always up for a chat and never ever in a glimpse of a bad mood, they made the hotel really welcoming and cozy.
