Great location , closed by everything. We love it

Overall we had a good experience. Check in was smooth. Room and amenities were as expected. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. TV and Wi-Fi quality could have been better but was workable. Wish shampoo and conditioner available.

Our apartment was clean and well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is very bright and loud 24/7. The hotel is located in a very busy area.

Always a great location with easy access and close by to shopping beach and more! Great staff and security is excellent. Safe property clean and we will come back! Mahalo!

We chose location near to where we lived for many years. Now live mainland.

The sofa bed is horrible , mattress is worn down and the metal springs dig into your body , needs a new mattress ASAP

Close to amenities

I like that it feels safe because there is security guard 24 hours but I did not like that there's not much direction or communication where like to put throw out the trash.

It is a very nice place. Very secure, having to need a fob to open doors & security in the lobby. Free parking was the best. Plenty of parking spaces so we had no problems. The cable was great. Not like most hotels. The cons are no maid service AT ALL! You get one free coffee & $1 if you want more. When you check out is when they hang on the door, instructions before you leave. You have to throw away all the trash in the trash bin and the recycle in the recycle bin. You have to load the dish washer with the dishes you used. The bathroom. Is in the bedroom so if you travel with a couple, it is inconvenient to use the bathroom when they close the door. All in all, it’s a nice place but too many rules makes it hard to feel comfortable and relaxed.

Building is getting painted on the exterior. Pool is refreshing. Kids play area is under construction as well as tennis courts

I loved the location of the property the most. It is close to everything-restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. My room was clean and very spacious. The only concern that I had was the linen on the bed (sheets). I could tell that they had been washed; however, they had stains on them. No problem changing them out I would definitely stay there again when visiting Honolulu

I enjoyed staying at the Royal Kuhio and would definitely stay here again. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The location worked so well. I was able to walk to the beach and shopping and restaurants in the area. The only issues I had was the construction. So there was some loud noise a couple of days and the hot tub was close and the billiards room was closed. Other than those small details everything was perfect.

It's not the Royal Hawaiian folks but for the money and location it was awesome. We felt safe and it was within walking distance of everything downtown. The room was clean and everything came in handy. The kitchen, bed and parking were a great plus. Yes the parking was included so just that alone saves hundreds of dollars to go to Dukes and get a great meal on the run. I will stay again when staying downtown.

The property was much nicer than expected. Ouf room appeared to have been recently renovated. Also, we had a beautiful city view with Diamond Head in the background, as well as ocean views from the balcony. We were not expecting a view from the room considering it was described as an “interior” room. I had anticipated some kind of interior courtyard view. The area pool was very nice and the size of the parking spaces in the parking structure are much larger than most spaces in the various Waikiki parking lots. We would definitely stay here again.

If you don’t have a car, it’s a simple 10 minute walk to town for all your shopping needs. The trolley bas stop was 5 mins away. The host left a variety of local gifts for us which was lovely. Because the apartment is on the ground floor and if you’re home during the day you will need a light on. But not a problem as you’L be out enjoying the beaches.

Employees at the desk were helpful, Nobody greets you as you arrive.

Over-all, my husband and I have been very satisfied. Our one-bedroom corner unit is spacious, clean and very comfortable plus it’s in the best location.

We stayed here for 14 nights, was a great location for us, handy for the shops, the beach, bus stop right outside. Such a great location. We loved that there was a pool and sun loungers available, we used these most days. A laundry room full of washing machines & dryers was useful as well. Security was on the desk all day / night.

This is place is close to everything, very safe and secure.

The room was clean and easy check in at front desk. We were happy to have a baby crib available for my grandson’s first visit at Royal Kuhio. Kudos to Chantel!

Very comfy handy hotel to stay. Close to beach and shopping.

Great location, but the building is undergoing massive repair work to the facade, and we had construction workers on our lanai chipping away concrete at 7:30 in the morning. Wish we’d had more info about this - would have booked elsewhere. The unit was more than adequate, although tested. Great to have parking.

Perfect condo and stay

Stayed here for 3 nights Positives: great location, friendly staff, safe, free parking Negatives: roaches and ants in room and in hallways (I guess this is a “norm” in Hawaii but we were still disappointed). We kept our food bin the fridge at all times but didn’t help. Building is dated and i didn’t rly mind. We were on floor 8 so maybe less bugs on higher floors?

like the ability to cook in the room. Save a lot of money. Don't like the check-in process after hours.

Infested with roaches! Also ants. We found old french frys from the people before us under the coffey table. At first we saw one roach.... then many... nightly. We told front desk and we were told it's normal????

This is a nice central location. The check-in and parking was not difficult. The property is a little dated, but clean with plenty of linens. We did not use the pool.
