Great location great views

The driveway was filthy with mud moss and slime a security light would have been good as the house is poorly lit from street lights. The bins had not been emptied. The rear patio was also filthy and no external light so you could use patio on a night underfloor heating in conservatory not working freezing cold. Mirror in bedroom wardrobe cracked flooring in bathroom damaged and warped. Sleeps 8 but seating only for 7. Bedding and towels were worn out. Clock on mantelpiece glass smashed. Top oven in kitchen not working AND HAD MASSIVE DIFFICULTY IN OBTAINING KEYS AND ENTERING PROPERTY WHICH HAD TO BE VACATED BEFORE 0900 So we left the night before as it was less hassle

Great location, very quiet, but only a 10 min walk into the centre of Keswick. Wonderful view of Skiddaw (when the clouds lifted), and plenty of walks straight from the house. Great centre for visiting the Lake District.

No key code info was sent out before arrival. I sent several messages through booking.com, but got no reply so had to ring the day before departure. When I phoned Cumbrian cottages, the assistant was very helpful and provided the full checkin details and keysafe code, but it would have been better if these had been sent out to me. Perhaps some link through booking.com was not working properly. External light not working, good job we had a torch.

This property was lovely and clean on arrival with a nice homely feeling. All facilities were there and the location was great. Very spacious property.
