The location is super nice, the room was big (but I went for a suite so I guess that's a given), the pool is nice.

The thing is, this hotel doesn't make any sense. For example: they don't serve breakfast - you can order an amazing breakfast to your room, but you can't go down and have breakfast at the restaurant. What? They don't clean your room unless you chase one of the staff and repeatedly ask for your room to be cleaned. They don't have a hotel bar - you can't have a beer or water or anything after 10pm. They kick you out of the pool at 10pm. My delayed baggage arrived at the hotel after 4 days and nobody bothered to tell me that, I mean, what? It sat at the reception for the next 3 days until I left town without taking it. A bizarre hotel. It's almost like they think that because they call themselves a boutique hotel they need to do *everything* in a weird way. I don't know. Marriott next time around I guess.

Location and decor.

Very loud, music all night from the pool area on a Sunday night. Not a hotel for sleep.

Location was great, right in the middle of everything in Austin. I did like that they cleaned the room every day and made the bed and put new towels.

No bathtub. For the price of the hotel room per night, there should have been a bathtub! If I would have known there was no bathtub, I would not have booked this hotel. King size bed was not that comfortable. The middle of the bed sunk in, causing me and my BF to sleep on opposite sides of the bed. Every time (which was about 3 times) that I called guest services to ask a question, the staff was quite rude. I had an early morning and took a shower at 4am and there was no hot water. I wonder if they turn off the warm water during those early morning hours? Prior to booking this hotel, front desk told me the room upgrade charge was a *one time* fee of $70 - but when I checked my CC after my stay, I had been charged $70/night plus tax for the room upgrade… thankfully they were able to refund me for the miscommunication but overall, staying at the Line didn’t feel worth it to me. I didn’t feel that the money spent was worth the experience.

shower handle was broken, room was freezing and I got sick, it was not possible to shut the air off nor increase temp. I had to call technician the next day but suffered through the night. Wifi was non existent and after many tries the engineer had to give me access to the staff account. I fell critically ill after the trip and am still not recovered. Since I was only there for one night the staff did not get a chance to fix the issues before I checked out. I also blame room assignment as I feel hotels often keep there worst rooms available for third party sites like booking.com.

The moment you enter the hotel, the lobby draws you in and intrigues you with its openness that showcases the amenities and facilities it offers immediately.

loved the modern flair. loved the coffee shop and Veracruz taco attached. Didn’t use the pool, but loved the area.

rooms were a little small. kinda cramped in the bathrooms for two people to get ready at the same time.
