I REALLY LIKE BEING LESS THAN 1 MILE FROM THE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA. PERFECT CABIN FOR HUNTING OR FISHING AND A VERY QUIET PLACE. BOOKED 3 NIGHTS BUT ONLY STAYED 2 DUE TO HEATER WOULD NOT STAY LITE AND NIGHT TIME LOW WAS 29 DEGREES. COULD GET COLD QUICKLY SO HAD TO RELIGHT THE HEATER MANY TIMES TO STAY WARM. IF THE HEATER IS REPAIRED I WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK FOR ANOTHER HUNT

We really did enjoy our stay in the secluded woods while we were searching for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park. The location was lovely and the accommodations were spacious. The property was clean. It was oddly cool (well cold!) when we were there and we had a little difficulty with the gas heaters in the rooms. There were electric heaters we just plugged in and were able to stay warm!

Our second time to rent this property. Unfortunately our friends had to cancel but the accommodations were excellent as always. We enjoyed our stay and the convenience.

We had a great experience at the cabin. Quiet and peaceful stay. 10/10 would recommend

Bugs were biting me in single bedroom,my sister had a spider get on her from the chair.the bed had little black bugs in it .ended up on the couch.have bug bites on me from the bed.

Had trouble getting the info to check in, but finally got it 4 hours before the check in time. The location of the house is nice as well as the floors in the house and the funishings. The kitchen and bathroom both need an overhaul, but did appear to be clean. The house inside doesn't get much natural lighting and there were several light bulbs missing or not working both inside and out. Looks like the roof was leaking some time back and was replaced, but non of the water damage was repaired. You can see rotted wood on the outside of the house that has been painted over and what appears to be mold on the ceiling in the back room. If we go back to the area we will be finding a different place to stay, but if your looking for what I would consider a camp house then give it a try.

Owner was quick with all message responses, house was clean, decently stocked with expected items (towels dishes, etc), location was wonderful, fridge and A/C and water all worked as they should. I expect the bad reviews are from folks that are more accustomed to fancy hotels in the city and not quite little olds houses in the country. Place totally gets all 5 stars in my opinion. Only thing I would caution is if you are on a motorcycle or extremely low riding car, use caution where the driveway meets the road....my car did it fine though and I could have managed it with the harley also. To the owners/manager, thanks for the wonderful stay!

The house was clean and had all the needed amenities for a weekend stay. The pictures didn't do any justice. Very clean, neat and cozy atmosphere. Can't wait till returning to the area and will be looking for this rental to be available.

We arrived after dark and it was a little difficult to get oriented (getting the door open, finding light switches, figuring out how to turn on the heaters...it was COLD!). But once we got settled, the house warmed up nicely and was fine for the 7 of us...not sure where an 8th person would have slept as there wasn't any extra bedding for the couch. We were pleasantly surprised in the morning at the surroundings...no close neighbors and really in the woods. Kitchen was adequate, but there weren't any bowls (we made do with mugs). Plenty of fresh towels, and we appreciated the cleanliness of everything.

Might have paid too much per night for a rustic place as this just to get near Crater of Diamonds park. Town folk nice enough. Small town.

This is an adorable little cabin in the woods. It is just as described in the ad. The king size bed is a little stiff but perfect for all the kids! The bed in the room by itself is SUPER COMFORTABLE!!! This cabin was roomy enough for 5 kids and 3 adults. We loved the wrap around porch. It has your basic kitchen needs but not quite everything. Anything you forgot can be found in town at Dollar General though. Perfect location to the lake and Crater of Diamonds State Park which was the main purpose of our trip. This cabin was a surprising delightful big bonus to our little weekend birthday trip for our 8 year old with his cousins. Not hard to find at all. We will definitely be back!
