The property fit our needs. Great access to the river and close enough to town. There was no signal on our phones, but wifi is provided. Be careful with the upstairs shower curtain or you could end up getting the floor wet. The door handle on the main entrance needs a little work. My children could not open it. Overall it was accomidating.

My family and I had a great visit and enjoyed the beautiful cabin. We were within convenient driving distance to the Crater of Diamonds park and several hiking trails…we look forward to coming back next year.

The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. It has multiple outdoor seating areas including a fire pit area, wrap around deck, and a deck right on the water. We caught small bait-sized fish during the day from the deck. On our last night, we set out 4-5 catfish noodles in front of the dock, and chased them down with a kayak when a fish got on it. We caught 3 nice catfish, and lost another huge one trying to get it in the kayak.

We had a fantastic time! The house and property are beautiful, and Nancy is great! We enjoyed telling spooky stories around the fire pit and playing in the river.

It was more than I could have imagined. The cabin was perfect had so many supplies and amenities. If you forgot to bring something, the cabin will likely have it. Highly recommend if you need to get away

Beautiful property. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the decks, the fire pit and especially the river. House was so clean, fully stocked with just about anything one would need plus a whole lot of extras that made the stay even better. The only complaint we had was the upstairs bathroom. It was dark, the shower very small and the water pressure/shower head terrible.

The cabin is beautiful, has a great floor plan and plenty of space. Loved being right on the river. The fishing was great! We will definitely be going back.

The property is amazing! Very spacious and just absolutely beautiful! Worth every penny! Fishing right off the back yard! Gas grill provided! Canoe and Kayak provided with easy access to water. Zero complaints!

We stayed at the River Retreat for a few days after Easter, and we had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and it looked just like the pictures online. The views out the back windows were beautiful and it was so nice to sit on the back deck. The cabin had plenty of towels/pillows/blankets for everyone and nightlights in every room. It was well stocked with things you would need for coffee (sugar, creamer), laundry (detergent and dryer sheets plus a new washer and dryer), entertainment (games, puzzles, DVDs, books) and kitchen items (dish soap, garbage bags, cleaner, spices and appliances such as a crock pot, blender, toaster, coffee maker and more). The river flowed very fast when the dam was open, but it was calm when it was closed and the water was only a few feet deep. We were able to paddle a canoe out in it easily. Life vests were provided and there were fishing poles available (just bring your own bait). The walk down to the water was a little steep, but the views from the deck by the cabin were great too. We saw deer on the driveway going in and out several times. The town center is only a few minutes away and has most of what you might need - gas station, shops (watch their hours since some close early), restaurants and a grocery store plus Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. We went to the Crater of Diamonds state park twice and the weather was beautiful. We didn’t find any diamonds but we brought some rocks home to look through later, so we’ll see! We really enjoyed our mini vacation and plan to come back again.

This cabin is perfectly placed in a serene location on the Little Missouri River. We saw plenty of wildlife while we were there. Also, having stayed at many VRBO in the US and abroad, this one has the best amenities! The owners really seem to care about people being carefree and happy!

First things first, this cabin was amazing! My wife and I were blown away with the whole place, our twins were just as surprised as we were. The cabin is beautiful, located right on the river, the sounds were amazing and the sky at night was breathtaking. We have already started looking to book our next trip.

Absolutely love this cabin. This was our second time staying here. Fishing on the river in this area is excellent. The cabin has everything you need and is very clean. We will definitely be booking another stay here soon

The only complaint I have is not staying longer! I have utilized VRBO for several visits. This trip is at the top of my list of favorites. Nancy’s cabin is by far the most accommodating, well-supplied, most thoughtful, and relaxing. She answered every question and was available every time I reached out. If you live/work near a big city like Houston, you’ll appreciate the remoteness of the cabin. I know my family and I did. The cabin is beautiful and the view is breathtaking!! Honestly, my family and I felt at home. Thank you, Nancy!! We look forward to visiting again!

Owners responded quickly. House was great! Kids loved the deck around the outside, the canoe, and fire pit. House is very quiet on the inside if the neighbors are having loud parties. Games and puzzles for the kids. Had everything we needed. Close to everything but far away from everyone. Great house

The Cabin was beautiful and well equipped. We had a great time with our family and enjoyed the area. The owner, Nancy was responsive each time I had a question. My wife worked from the cabin and the internet worked very well. We were also able to stream movies for the grandkids when they visited. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property was as described on VRBO. My son is fascinated with rocks/nature with that being said this cabin was only a short drive to dig for diamonds. Mt. Ida is an hour drive, to dig for crystals and 1hr drive to go to Hot Springs, from cabin. So, even though it is in the middle of no where, there are many things to keep the family occupied. Kids loved the deck around the cabin. My family enjoyed the stay.

It was peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the river and around the firepit. We would stay again.

Beautiful inside the home ,only one thing needs immediate attention is the decking has some weak and or rotting boards and i almost broke through it. Other than that there are a lot of things i didn't expect like a canoe , fishing equipment and games to play etc. Will be looking forward to another visit in the future !

Property was well stocked with everything you need. Description is very accurate and the home is great. Big kitchen, comfortable places to relax from the den to the deck. Just minutes from town and had everything we needed.

We loved our multigenerational family time at River Retreat! It was as pictured, and exceeded our expectations. We spent our time splashing in the river, drinking coffee on the deck, watching the wildlife, playing games and exploring the area. Making memories with our grands!

We loved staying at River Retreat! The house is very nice, comfortable, and conveniently located outside of town. We enjoyed our early mornings on the deck watching the river and the diverse population of wildlife. Plenty of activities to keep kids busy within a short car ride.

We came as a family and this rental was amazing! The location and views were spectacular and the house had everything we needed and more for our stay! We will definitely be back! If your there for vacation check out lake gresson and their boat rentals too!

we had the best time! it was a lovely place with a fabulous deck and view! we chilled out and enjoyed ourselves. loved it so much we tried to extend our stay, but it was booked. that was the only negative part!! communication with owner was incredible!! will come again for sure!
