The location was central in the village with good facilities nearby. The room was clean, fresh, comfortable, spacious, and had lots of lovely small touches (for example, a room fan, hot chocolate sachets, biscuits and tissues). Good off-road parking is available and, after chatting with another guest, we learned that they also take dogs by prior arrangement. I would highly recommend Muir Bank and happily stay there again.
We struggled a little with the key box to access the room key (it didn't initially want to accept the code) but this is just a minor gripe.

convenience to shops and food outlets
bedroom window only yards from traffic lights with hard revving motorbikes room was noisy during day and at times during night requires greater window noise insulation for room to be comfortable before could recommend it five rooms but only enough space for 4 cars
