Sweeney Inverness - New Opening

Location is perfect. Can walk to everything. Good restaurants nearby and almost next door for breakfast. Room is beautifully decorated and furnished

Parking. There really is none. We lucked out as we sere staying over on a Sunday and street parking is allowed and we managed to get a spot really close by. Otherwise it's a good walk to any longer term parking.

The venue is relatively new. So there were small/ normal snags that the venue staff handled immediately and promptly. the staff was very accommodating. We took a room on the second floor then were upgraded to a bigger room due to a minor issues.

The hotel is relatively new, there was a minor layer of dust on the wardrobes due to installations, but it's something minor and we had an amazing stay.

Wow just wow. What a gem this place is. The rooms are opulent and so so clean. We actually loved the no reception fuss. (Although the phone lines are very active and helpful should you need to speak to someone. You are emailed code for outter door and your room. A little sticker on room door or note on email would be helpful to tell you that you press the pad on your room door for the key pad to illuminate. Towels soft and white. Bedding & pillows soo luxurious. Molton Brown toiletries, Bottles of water and tea and coffee supplied. Lovely touch for an apartment stay. Well done all at Sweeney, we come go Inverness every other month and look forward to coming back. Also thank you to the lovely lady who knew i was most distressed after booking another hotel which was awful and letting me leave my case with her until check in. We also paid for early check in.

Excellent location right in the city centre, but on a quieter side, which I really appreciated. It’s close to the main amenities and directly by the riverside, so the surroundings are beautiful as soon as you step outside. The hotel is brand new, very clean and thoughtfully designed. I especially loved the interior and the warm lighting, which made the room feel very cosy and comfortable. The small pantry area was a great bonus, with a microwave, fridge, sink, plates and other useful essentials. The bedding was excellent, the room felt spacious enough, and having two TVs — including one positioned above the bed — made it especially comfortable for relaxing. Being dog-friendly was also a huge plus for me.

Nothing major at all — I was very happy with my stay. As the hotel is still new and operates without a traditional reception, I think a few extra details would make the experience even smoother. For example, clearer arrival directions would help, as the hotel is not yet easy to find on Google Maps and searching the street address can direct you to the office car park at the back, which is not connected to the hotel entrance. A short guide for the smart TV would also be useful, as it took me a little while to figure out the setup. For longer stays, it would also help to include information on where to dispose of rubbish. It would also be useful to mention the room floor in advance, as there is no lift. My room was on the third floor and this was completely fine for me, but it could be important information for elderly guests or anyone with mobility needs. These are all minor suggestions rather than negatives, and I’d still rate the stay 10/10.
