Jerusalem Gold Hotel

The personal was very kind. Especially Mary who gave us an upgrade to a junior suite.😊 In the morning we got unsolicited shortly before 9 a.m. a phone call to remind us for the breakfast (till 9.30 a.m.). We appreciated this very much.

The warm hospitality of the staff was outstanding, particularly Mary. She even accompanied us to the entrance of the hotel when we had difficulty finding it. She accommodated special requests, upgraded our room, provided cold drinks and snack on arrival and answered questions.

While the location is great, the actual entrance is very hard to find if you arrive by bus or train. No signage.

The location was perfect for us. The Jerusalem Gold Hotel is located at the entrance to Jerusalem, where the intercity train, local "street trains" and buses all meet, and right across from the International Convention Center of Jerusalem, where we attended a major international conference. We could roll out of bed and be in the conference in a leisurely 15 minute walk. The staff was also excellent, especially Mary, the front desk agent, who went out of her way to arrange a room for us that met all our needs. She was also very helpful when we asked to leave some extra luggage at the front desk until check-in time.

There needs to be signs on the side of the hotel facing Yafeh Street indicating which way to walk to reach the steps leading to the hotel entrance. (Of course, cab drivers will know how to drive to the entrance).

Location, friendly reception, nice and decent breakfast.

Old, broken beds, not clean enough - rooms and public area. Should be investigated by the managment how to repair and improve it asap.
