Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel

We stayed at Sheraton Istanbul Ataköy for three nights and chose the hotel mainly because we were attending the Black Coffee concert at Ataköy Marina, which is only about a 5-minute walk away. If you are coming to Istanbul for a concert at the marina, this hotel is definitely one of the best choices. After the concert, the area gets extremely crowded, traffic is heavy, and finding a taxi can be very difficult, so being able to simply walk back to the hotel was a huge advantage. The hotel itself was very clean, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Sertaç from Guest Relations, who was genuinely helpful throughout our stay. He was always kind, approachable, and did his best to help with every request we had. His attitude really made our stay even better.

The hotel was decent — clean rooms, polite staff, nice food. No complaints there. But here’s the thing: I’m from India, and while your towels were soft, your country’s foreign policy is not.

However, as an Indian citizen, I cannot ignore the broader context. Turkey’s open political support for Pakistan — a country that has repeatedly supported terrorism against India — is deeply troubling. While this isn’t a reflection on the hotel directly, I believe in standing with my nation, and I choose not to support countries that stand against India’s security and integrity. So while my stay was comfortable, this will be my last visit to Turkey.

Mrs. Ipek was very kind and helpful.

The reception team was professional and helpful, and the food was excellent and of a high international standard.

The hotel needs maintenance and seems understaffed, which affects the overall experience.
