Breakfast was lovely. Location very good, equidistant from station and centre. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfortable and my bathroom very nice.
I wasn't very keen on not being able to open the window as I'm a fresh air person.

Comfortable bed, very good shower room, good breakfast (particularly on Monday when it was cooked to order). Helpful, friendly staff. The hotel had character and was in a good location.
I didn't really dislike anything, though the windows were hard to open at times. And it took a little time to sort out the layout of the hotel!

Shower cubicle very small and doors didn’t close properly
I wouldn’t have knowingly booked a room where the window was a slit about 10 feet above the ground - this should have been made clear in the room description.

I have stayed at this hotel several times . Always good hence i keep coming back. This time i paid for a deluxe room - it looked like it has been converted from a lounge room into a bedroom. Is right on the ground floor , on a busy street and right by the lift - again (last two times i stayed was by the lift which us very noisy. The rooms are not well sound proof so i got a poor night sleep.i may seek alternative next time at Notts (i come at least 7 times per year)
