The location right on the harbour and close to the ferries was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, friendly and could not be more helpful- all of them. We had room service one night and the food was great as well.

Nothing- we had a superb stay!

While several aspects of the stay were perfectly fine, there’s really no point in listing what went well because the WiFi situation overshadowed everything. When a hotel at this price point delivers the slowest “complimentary” internet of my entire Australia/NZ trip — and tries to upsell basic usable speeds — it becomes the defining part of the experience. It’s hard to appreciate the positives when a basic expectation is turned into a profit center and the complimentary service is intentionally throttled to unusable levels.

I enjoyed my stay, but the WiFi policy was a real letdown. Across Australia and New Zealand, even modest hotels offered fast, free WiFi. Then I arrived at Hilton Auckland — the most expensive and most upgraded stay of the entire trip — and suddenly I’m being asked to pay extra for normal internet speeds. The complimentary WiFi was so slow it was unusable. It felt like a bean‑counter decision to squeeze a few extra dollars out of guests, and it stood out in a bad way. At a premium property, basic broadband shouldn’t be treated like a profit center.

Very bad management.So much confusion upon check in , our booked details selected at booking.com did not match their booking for entitlements. Once that was sorted we were them told the room was not ready so instead of getting into our room at check in time at 3 pm it was not until 4;30 pm so very disappointed. The staff were pleasant so someone in management needs to address the situation that is not very acceptable for guests , as I know we along with other guests at reception checking in at the same time where also told their rooms were not ready and they only offered apologies and 1 house drink per person
