Exceptional and beautiful are two words that spring to mind when thinking of the Carmelite.
The suite beat the hotel’s photo gallery. A big room with a huge bed of perfectly made bedding that was a truly pleasure to sleep in.
Derek, who was the smiling face that greeted me after a difficult long day was a true gentleman. His assistance from the moment I arrived showed that he had a dedicated mind as well as genuine love to his profession.

Location was great staff friendly and helpful
Wi fi was not very good and no bottled water in room

Great location, great price and secure entry after 8pm. Very friendly staff on check in (checkout was very quiet but no issue)
Only comments would be there were quite a few dirty smears round the doorframe of the bathroom, just a bit more attention needed to cleaning.
No kettle or tea facilities in room but cant really complain for the price, and only 2 plug sockets over by the table, however there was 2 USB sockets near the bed so if I had brought a different charger it wiuld have been fine
6 / 10Nella media·set 2026
simple and effective
no bedside lamp, dubious windows and tatty bathroom
