Marshall Meadows Manor House

Staff - were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room - was excellent with an extremely comfortable bed and large walk in shower. Details like USB charger sockets are a bonus. Dinner - We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast - was also really good, with quality (and tasty) food brought fresh and hot to the table

Perfect country manor

The room was a good size. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Really good pressure on the shower. Very nice toiletries. Good mini bar and snacks.

The room needed a much better clean, lots of cobwebs everywhere. Lots of stains on the carpets. There was no light at the dressing table in the bedroom so had to do hair and make-up in sitting area which was uncomfortable sitting at an angle. Slippers provided didn't have grip so very slippy when coming out of the hot tub or in the bathroom. Some renovation needed as damp/mould near windows and doors and in bathroom. Grouting could do with being redone/cleaned. Couldn't sit outside as seating was dirty. The food was really nice, but basic breakfast items weren't available, ie baked beans for the cooked breakfast and muffins for the eggs Benedict.

staff were good and attentive, breakfast good, however a set breakfast menu only works if everyone either follows it or instead writes down the actual cooked breakfast as ordered by guests neither myself or wife were given the breakfast as ordered. not a big issue just disappointing.

basic hygiene lack of cleaning in both bedrooms and main guest areas in particular carpets, either hotel need to purchase new vacuums or need using more frequently, also stained and dirty armchairs in bar area need cleaning
