Nicely developed group of stone buildings adjoining a much older barn and farmhouse. Quiet, peaceful location but very near Oxford, which can be easily reached by car or bus. Lovely big room and bed, pool and spa facilities. Excellent food reasonably priced. Cosy bar area.

The one thing that marred my stay was the pillows. Our huge and very comfortable bed had four pillows, which is pretty standard. Unfortunately all of these pillows were very fat and springy, to the point that I wasnt really able to lie flat enough. I went to sleep ok but woke a few hours later with the beginnings of a cricked neck. For a while I ditched the pillow entirely, preferring to rest head on the plain mattress. After a while this got uncomfortable too so eventually I used the little decorative cushion that had been on the bed on arrival. This was a weird slightly metallic texture and also only about 30cm square so not ideal. It would be relatively easy to provide each side of the bed with one thinner and one fatter pillow, so people could choose.
