Location is great.

The breakfast was too expensive and the hotel in general needed to be cleaner.

The bathroom, the bath is too high to step into to shower, found it incredibly difficult

The location with beautiful of the cathedral. The room itself was very good. Bedroom and bathroom were lovely and clean.

We stayed two nights. We only ate at breakfast time, but encountered some issues..... A few relating to food itself - the hash browns were inedible, some food was cold. But basic "details" were missing: now clean teaspoons available, no serving spoons for each of the hot options, the heater for hot plates wasn't switched on, no butter (at all!) on the second morning, etc etc. On the first morning, the chef came out of the kitchen, into the dining area, shouting loudly that "he was fed up having to do everything; he shouldn't have to be doing this!" He came across as being very angry and startled us. Very unprofessional behaviour. There were children and elderly guests present. On the second morning, the milk in the "cold" urn was totally curdled! Gross! At least six inches of curdled off milk, which we realised when the tap didn't release any milk. When we reported this, we were informed the urn should have been removed the previous day. Hopefully, management can address these issues promptly, particularly as this hotel is graded as 4 star - unfortunately I feel this isn't warranted.
