Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana, Abu Dhabi

It's one of my favourite hotels, already was my 4th time there - excellent experience like always (much thanks to Alex from reception for being helpful, flexible for my requests and proactive).

Location. Pool and sea view. We took family room and couple room with balcony. Room sizes are good. All amenities available. Missing dental kits, towels water were immediately provided on call. So thanks for that. Basement parking is very convenient. Staff at reception and room service including cleaning and food deliveries were very good. So a comfortable stay overall.

Nothing major but some suggestions to improve. Lighting in room could be better. Flooring and wall paper finishes including carpets are visibly old could be better. Considering 5 star ranking the impression of finishing is not at par. At rush hours during check in or check out, an additional staff may cater to organise the guests, offer water/juice etc and allow proper first come first serve, service. Variety in breakfast can be improved. Same menu daily. Timing of visiting beach may increase to midnight as in summer times day time is very hot to visit outside. Overall for me most important is customer service, and that is very good so kudos to all staff.

Almost perfect

Gym, Pool, and Beach were all good. Room was big, but that doesn't mean perfect. Don't be fooled by the bells and whistles, this hotel is 4 star at best.

Staff at meal times were not consistent. Assigned a table that was then assigned to another guest family. Waited a long time to be asked about drinks then waited even longer to get them (they are literally machine made hot drinks). Some waiters treating it like a comedy routine rather than a job to keep customers happy.
