A wonderful stay just outside Rotorua
City Lights Boutique Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. The service was excellent, everything was exceptionally clean, and Grace was absolutely lovely — so welcoming, helpful and always happy to assist.
The location is idyllic, just outside Rotorua, with beautiful views and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. It was also a great place to go for a run, with lovely surroundings and very little traffic.
The food provided was delicious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable — perfect after a busy day exploring Rotorua.
And the added highlight? The alpacas! 🦙 They are so cool, and being able to feed them was such a fun and unexpected bonus.
Overall, a beautiful, peaceful and very welcoming place to stay. Highly recommended — I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location just outside of town with amazing views and resident alpacas. Rooms were really nice, well equipped and spotless and a lovely breakfast was included.

Room was nice, breakfast was fresh and homemade. David and Grace were super friendly. Alpaca was a pleasant surprise and being able to feed them was nice. Far enough from city center, but not too far.
