Good location. Lovely breakfast

I love period proper with interesting histories and this place has it. There was even a write up on the table in the foyer which was so full of information I had to take a copy to our room and show my hubby
There was nothing we didn't like. The shower was powerful, the bed comfortable, the aesthetic of the room was in keeping with the feel of the place and the quiet road was superb apart from the partying students at midnight dancing in the street and blasting car horns. This is no reflection on the hotel just the mindset of drunk or otherwise inebriated university students who have no respect for other people trying to sleep

Superb location for our needs. Comfortable room, with a radiator which was useful to counter the evening September chill on our return. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were helpful and charming.
Would have liked a bath in the bathroom.

Good overall decent
The bed was terrible lumpy and not at all comfortable. The shower was dreadful not befitting a room that cost over £150
