This is a lovely hotel with a lot of World War II nostalgia attached to it. It is very clean. Breakfast is very good and location and grounds of the hotel are excellent. There is plenty of free parking within the hotel grounds. If you have an interest in the 'Dam Busters' then this is the hotel for you.
Not the comfiest bed I have slept in by a long way. The bar completely lacked any atmosphere and glasses were dirty. I had to return a glass 4 times in one night due to lipstick marks.

Nice breakfast with friendly staff. Ample parking with EV charging available.
Grand building but rooms are looking tired and need updating. Small basic TV placed on low TV not viewable from the bed, need larger smart TV mounted on wall. Carpet old, flat pile and marked in numerous places needs replacing. Bathroom windows cannot be opened due to overpainting, extractor fan doesn’t cope with the steam. Room 308 overlooks the waste bins and service area, noisy and unpleasant.
