I would stay again though!

The proximity to work and the City. It was a pub! You can get takeaways when Pub is closed.

Pub is not open on Monday’s, limited menu, a mouse ran into my room on the 2nd night…!

Naughtons was a great find - not just as the neighbourhood pub - but perfect for overnight stays!

Location is ideal and two blocks from my employer when I'm in Melbourne. Staff are friendly and attentive, and dinner in the downstairs bar very convenient for someone traveling alone. My room this time was smaller (tho less expensive) than my previous visit, but still very comfortable, clean and everything I needed for a one-night stay. Missed spotting the hairdryer and ironing board cupboard the first time - but discovered them very conveniently situated in the hallway. Rooms and bathrooms are modern and renovated, and a nice surprise in a 150-year old building!

Depending on your room location, the noise from downstairs and creaking floors might bother some. Sounded like barrels were being moved around at closing time! On an earlier visit, my room was much larger with a huge bathroom so better appointed - this time, the TV was awkwardly placed, and I had no reading lamp or comfortable chair (due to the smaller space!)

Really good. It would be a pleasure to stay at Naughtons again.

Great room, spacious bathroom, perfect bed. A little bit of noise from the pub below but not really disturbing. Tram stop right in front of the hotel.

Wifi too weak to reach our room.

Went for the weekend so quick trip and slept well, had an amazing shower, and was warm. couldn’t ask for more than that.

Exceptional

Good facilities..Room was large , clean and bed comfortable. Was very convenient for tram down into the city centre .Good food in the bar restaurant.

Air conditioning units at rear were bit noisy but after full days out sightseeing, they didn't stop us sleeping!

Unable to sleep due to noise issues.

Rooms were spacious and clean. A shame the bar and restaurant were closed, as there is little nearby.

The room had a disconcerting level of noise from some kind of generator in the area outside the room. Like the sound a fridge makes but magnified several times. I'm a light sleeper and had an important work function the next day. I found it difficult to sleep because of the noise. I specifically requested a quiet room, and at no stage was I alerted to the noise issues the room came with, so it ruined my stay.

Hot air balloons early in the morning… view from my room was super special!

I stayed for 4 nights. My room was fabulous:large corner room with 3 windows looking out over Royal Parade, straight opposite team stop to city. Terrific location, easy check in, daily housekeeping, called me after I’d left something behind..it felt like my little home for the 4 days! Definitely would stay again. Thankyou

It is near a major city hospital, so the odd ambulance noise for the super sensitive 😊

I cannot fault my stay. It was one of the cleanest places I have stayed at. The menu downstairs @ the pub has a great variety of vegetarian and light meal options.

I have stayed here a few times now. the only suggestion I could make is to have some hooks in bathroom to store clothes and towels off the floor.

Well-presented, centrally-located hotel with friendly and helpful staff

The hotel's location was perfect for our long weekend away in Melbourne. It is right next to a tram line so it made it super easy for us to either go into the city or into Brunswick area. The staff were very friendly and were happy to look after our luggage on our final day after we had checked out. The hotel was well presented and the rooms were a good spacious size. We would definitely recommend staying here and will consider it for our next trip to Melbourne!

None of these were dealbreakers for us but there didn't seem to be a lift up to the rooms (although the staff kindly offered to help us with our luggage), there was only one bin in the room (would have been good to have another in the bathroom too) and the pillows were quite flat and uncomfortable.
