An older property, has had some renovations, but very good clue for money

Just don’t expect much. You get what you pay for

The location was great - close to everything. Alsio the complimentary chocolates and water issued on a daily basis is a nice gesture. The fridge and kettle in the room was nice.

The floor in the shower felt awkward - almost slippery.

Convenient location

We were upgraded to a premium room but there was only a bath.. no shower ( just a shower head in the bath) would have preferred the deluxe room that has a shower cubicle. We only booked as needed a room for a late flight got so didn’t actually stay the night which I told them about when I checked in.. When I handed in room card at 8pm I was questioned by reception about not checking out tomorrow. She said she had to confirm with someone and tried to make us stay until someone arrived. After a few minutes no one arrived so I said I had paid in full for the room and wanted to leave for airport. She tried to keep us there . I told her I wasn’t going to wait and headed out for our taxi. She couldn’t explain to me why she wanted to wait so I just left.. a bit strange.

Great location on a busy road with loads within walking distance, including shops, restaurants, Waterbom and Discovery Mall. The staff were lovely and the room with breakfast was great value. The bed was really comfy and the blackout curtains were great. Breakfast was really good, with free juices, coffee, fruit and breads, plus a menu where you could choose a main dish freshly prepared for you. Solid WiFi too. The pool looked lovely, we just wish we’d given ourselves time to use it! Tea, coffee and water in the room, and the little chocolate gift was a nice surprise. I also loved the motivational quotes and positive affirmations throughout the halls. Very peaceful during the week.

Weekends are wild! Saturday night was extremely loud, almost like being next to a nightclub, with a DJ at the front and something else going on behind the hotel. It didn’t bother me personally, but definitely worth knowing if you want a quiet sleep before midnight. The hotel also needs some maintenance. The shower was rusty, there was mould around the AC and quite a few water leaks around the hotel. Our AC would actually spill water when we turned it off. There were also ants and small cockroaches in our room, which obviously wasn’t pleasant. The TV is very basic too, with no way to connect to apps like Netflix or Disney+.
