A great holiday in carcassone

Fantastic location, nice modern apartment

Clean, comfortable, convenient and good value.

Nice clean and well equipped apartment on the first floor, I had thought I had booked one with some outside space, but this was not the case, but no huge problem. Clean with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Road was being resurfaced outside, which was a little noisy and dusty, but will be a huge improvement when done. Great location, bridge to Castle at the end of the road and about 7 mins walk from the main Market Square in the lower town. Landlord gave us a lift to the airport on the Friday morning which was much appreciated.

Between Cité and Bastide; a perfect location

Very well equipped and homely. Spacious too. Jason, the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful.

Not their fault but the road was being worked on and quite noisy and dusty at times. It will be fantastic once the road works are completed.

Well-priced, well-appointed, well-situated.

Very clean, very well-appointed. Wonderfully comfortable double bed. Great location.

I was a little disappointed in the outdoor space - the photographs showed a lovely terrace leading off what appeared to be the apartment. There was some outdoor space but it was a very small shared ground floor terrace. Also, there were considerable roadworks going on in the street. This is no one’s fault and simply one of those things, but it would have been nice to have some warning.

The apartments are well located in the Bastide but close to the Cite, via the Pont Vieux, as well as restaurants and shops. We had the apartment at the rear which was very quiet. Comfortable beds and very clean. Apartment is well equipped with everything we needed for a great stay, including good wi-fi. The host Jason was a lovely guy and very helpful. Excellent communication before arrival via email with very thorough and helpful instructions provided.

Nothing - the spiral staircase to the bedroom might be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

great stay - will stay there again if I am in Carcassonne

great location, very clean, high ceilings and great bed, and rooms at the back very quiet had best sleep ever, also English films/series on some TV stations. Jason the host could not be more helpful. lovely guy. we had everything we needed.

just a small thing - the front door was not self locking

Superb

The apartment is in a fantastic location in between the main town and the castle (5 mins in either direction) with great restaurants surrounding you and quick access to shops, bakery and chemist. There is also a carpark tucked away behind the building off the main road. It's a tight turn under another building 50m away but great place to leave your car.

Due to the old nature of the building it's not the most quietest of apartments as you will hear neighbors moving around and washing machines rumbling. But don't let these minor issues put you off this apartment. With the window blinds shut it will be very dark but helps with keeping the room cool as there is no air con and helps aiding sleep. There was a musty smell in the apartment at first but leaving the windows open resolved the issue

Exceptional

The apartment was spotless, very comfy large bed, all facilities. Good wifi. In a great location, 5 min walk into main square and short walk over Pont Vieux Bridge. Very near Gambetta square also which was lovely for morning coffee.Very safe. Out the back of main building. Nice little court yard to sit out. We were given a late check out at no extra cost as our flight was later in the day. Our contact with Jason was through email, safety box for keys, he responded quickly and helpfully to any queries

There was nothing we didn't like. I suppose if I had to pick, we had no view, just the back of another building but we didn't mind as location was perfect.

A great place to stay in beautiful Carcassonne.

A lovely little house in an excellent position close to shops and bars and a short walk to the beautiful Citè. It had everything we needed and is a perfect spot for a short break.

The accommodation is very well proportioned however the spiral stairs felt a little precarious and we wouldn’t recommend them if you are less mobile.

Great apartment perfectly located between the town and the medieval city.

Great location, private and quiet and so easy to get the shuttle bus from the airport as Le Dome stop is at the end of the road. Thoroughly recommend Agape restaurant just round the corner as well, lovely food and great value.

Great location but need to be fit. Not told 58 steps up to the 3rd floor apartment!

Spacious and well appointed.

Though we had a couple of issues that the owner dealt with, I’d have preferred not to have had the issues in the first place. I don’t go on holiday to be emailing back and forth to resolve problems. When I book a two bedroom apartment, I expect two bedrooms to be made up.

Excellent

In the Bastide but very close to the Cite over the Pont Vieux, good local shop for vegetable and an excellent buthchers nearby, good fish stalls in Les Halles. Many restaurants available close by, but recommend a creperie Le Ble Noir on Rue Verdun as cheap and cheerfull. Sitting having a drink in the Place Carnet in 36C temps (unusually high for May) was a delight, as was the Saturday market on the Bardes. Had a great time.

Quiet City Apartment

The apartment is situated very close to the Pont Vieuw Bridge making it easy to go to the Medieval walled town and the Carcassonne city centre. It was quiet in the apartment and the shutters make the rooms dark and cool. The big bed was very comfortable. Jason, the owner, was very friendly and helpful when there was a small issue.

There is a spiral staircase to the bedroom and bathroom and it wouldn't suit everyone to climb up it. There is no door separating the upper and lower floor so sounds carry right through. There is no view of the city from the apartment.

Easy walking distance to the Cité and the town. Well equipped kitchen, apartment fine. Great value.

Really good location to reach the Cité, to walk along the river and to explore the old part of the main town. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were made up for us, we had clean towels and everything we needed. When we had a slight problem with the hot water, the owner was very keen to help us and before we arrived he provided very helpful information about how to access the apartment and the local amenities. This apartment was great value for money. We also liked the furniture and the bedding, it felt very French!

It might be nice to have a couple more pictures on the walls to make the place feel a bit more homey. The street is quite run down (not much anyone can do about that), which is a shame considering it's such a great location. The sofa-bed wasn't the most comfortable because of the bar across the middle but it was absolutely fine for a few nights. (The bed in the bedroom was pretty comfortable though.)

Great apartment and great location for seeing the sights of Carcassonne. Brilliant to be collected and dropped off by Jason. Excellent communication before the stay.

Exceptional

Everything. The apartment was ideally situated and had all we required for a comfortable stay. Jason was extremely helpful and gave us a much appreciated lift to and from the airport.
