2 single beds ( requested) were very small and very close together shower dripped during night bright blue lights shone into room during night lighting it up making sleep difficult

The room had no window There could be breakfast included in the price There was a weird option of make my room with an additional charge when booking. I have never seen this before

Annoying the room was too close to the pubs and we had to move at midnight to get away from the noise. You need to state that those rooms will be able to hear bands and have it at a cheaper rate.

No scheduled room service, we have tried two different types of room, one is two beds with city view at level 8, the other is bigger studio at level 9. I felt the service come randomly, one day has, the other days has not. Recommend give each room the sign to indicate our free time for room service.

Proximity to St James Theatre and on the Airport Express bus route

The food in the hotel was pricey and I would have enjoyed some simpler food eg soup and toast for lunch. While we were able to get just plain ice cream we had to ask specifically for that. Appreciated being able to store our luggage before and after checkout times. Also suggest they put some safety rails in the showers as the tile floor was somewhat slippery. But we had a good undisturbed sleep and enjoyed our stay.

I booked an internal room so was pleasantly surprised to find I had been upgraded to a room with a view. Comfortable bed, location was excellent. Room quiet. Have stayed here before and will again.

There were no windows in our room and no fan in the bathroom so the steam from our shower would enter our room and the only entrance to the bathroom from the bedroom was a sliding door that did not close properly so there wasn’t really any way of keeping the steam out.

We didn't eat breakfast in the restaurant as we felt $35 for the buffet was a bit steep. To look at the menu from our room we had to use a Q code but because we're older and not tech-savvy we weren't able to do this. The location was excellent and there were plenty of great eating places within easy reach. Cuba St is such a colourful area and it was only a couple of minutes walk away. Our room was at the back of the hotel, and very quiet. The view was pleasant. I had phoned ahead to book a car park and was glad I had done so as I learnt that our Toyota truck would not fit, so we had to take my Mini. Even maneuvering this around the corners of the inside carpark was exciting! An average sized sedan would have had difficulty. The bed was fabulous with two good sized pillows and an extra blanket. There was enough lighting for me to be able to read, and the TV had loads of channels. It was also really nice to be able to boil the kettle for a cup of tea and to keep food in the refrigerator.

The big gripe about our room wasn't the bedroom itself. It was the bathroom. This was a 'wet' bathroom, where the shower isn't contained in a cubicle, but only separated from the rest of the bathroom by a curtain. The curtain was too small. Water went everywhere and the floor became dangerously slippery. I felt really unsafe. There was nowhere to put a toilet bag. The toilet itself did not have a lid. There was a seat but nothing to cover the bowl. The bathroom door was a sliding glass door that was partly frosted and did not close properly so it was not private. The drain in the middle of the bathroom was a square cut into the tiles and had a very sharp edge which needs to be beveled off. I spoke to the receptionist about the slippery floor and the other issues, and they said there had been several other complaints. They were intending to remedy the slippery floor by installing plastic mats. Here's hoping because as it is currently, it's an accident waiting to happen.
