Hotel Rebstock

Great location! Reasonably comfortable room

Hotel Rebstock was charming and pretty comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice view out our window. Good location for exploring Old Town.

Our room was in a turret at the top and we had to climb a LOT of stairs which was really difficult for me. I wished I’d known in advance as I would have requested a lower floor. No lift. I was disappointed that our room didn’t reflect the photos in the hotel description which showed funky and unique design. The funky tile work in the bathroom photos and murals on the walls were what appealed to me. Our room was bland and unappealing compared to my expectation. If you aren’t a deep sleeper beware the church bells at night, all night. Our window faced the church and they really disrupted our sleep.

The location and character were amazing

The staff could be a little rude at times and breakfast was not great. It would be better to offer a cheaper continental breakfast because to pay 20 + Swiss francs for essentially a continental with maybe some eggs if you could catch the waitress was a bit much

Great location. Comfortable room, portable air con unit provided.

Parking was a bit tricky/ expensive. Checking in was a bit confusing as the staff also seemed to work at the restaurant which was part of the hotel. So if you’re checking in at a busy time, prepare for to wait a while and for the staff to be slightly stressed.
