The location is great, just right by the Kyoto station. The rooms we had were cozy and clean, and the breakfast was simply wonderful. Since our family booked two rooms, I made a request to check if it was possible to have our rooms close to each other. The hotel responded quickly and satisfactorily. We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Elcient Kyoto Hachijoguchi, hope there will soon be another chance to come back.

Location is fantastic. Very near to the Kyoto Station Hachijo East exit. Clean interiors and welcoming staff.
Our stay included complimentary breakfast at Orange Terrace Kyoto restaurant and it was also excellent. You could enjoy your breakfast overlooking the Kyoto station from your breakfast bar.
This hotel allowed us to store our luggage in a locker facility for free, for a few more hours after the check out - very thoughtful and we really appreciate their kind gesture.
Smoking area is en-route to the east wing. It is nauseating for the non-smokers but it is a minor inconvenience.

Great looking hotel from the outside. Clean facility, close to the train station. Helpful staff regardless of the language barrier. Nice lobby, onsen was good, not great.
Just not happy with the room for the price, the room was tiny. Bike rental was expensive and a bit complicated to use.
