Boathouse Hotel

Peaceful location. Staff very accommodating, food delicious and drink very reasonable considering they have a captive audience.

Modern and clean.

The deck and views

- Good location with a lovely view of the marina - Friendly and welcoming staff - Good sized room, with a large bathroom and good shower - Good food options (including free continental breakfast) for the price paid for the room - All facilities appeared clean and well kept - A good amount of free parking spaces

- The lift only goes to the first floor, and wasn't working during our stay. This made getting our heavy cases to our top floor room a struggle up two flights of winding staircases. On arrival a member of staff did offer to help, but he never materialised so we did it ourselves. Staff also offered to help when we were coming down, but we'd already made it down one flight. The property would really benefit from a lift servicing both floors. - The curtains in room 6 were coming away from the top of the curtain pole, so they didn't close fully. This allowed a lot of light into the room from the street lights outside.

Lovely views from the room, spacious accommodation.
