Absolutely lovely boutique hotel hotel. The staff were so attentive and nothing was any trouble . The breakfast was lovely , one of the best close to the cruise terminals . Highly recommend!!!

Dinner wasn’t great. My partners Main dish was forgotten about so had to ask for it about half way through eating mine, so basically ate on my own. When his finally arrived it wasn’t that nice. Very expensive and just didn’t feel worth it. Coffee machine in room was broken. Dinner menu was the lunch menu, just didn’t quite work for dinner (7:30pm). We asked the waitress what she recommended and she said the toastie, when it finally came it was rock solid. Plus toastie for dinner?? Was disappointing, I had heard very good things about the pig but it wasn’t quite what we expected. Checking in to ‘reception’ you just feel on the way as staff are trying to get in and out of the kitchen, people are wanting to get a table for food and we felt in the way, all the staff were friendly and busy but it just didn’t feel right. The location of the check in desk was odd.

The availability of a car space at the Hotel was a major bonus. The atmosphere in and around the establishment was exceptional - I could feel the history. The menu choices were a little different to the normal offerings, but the breakfasts and dinner I did partake were quite wonderful. Being a part of the old city walls meant that most tourist things were close by.

The accomodations were quite cramped, not as expected. A portable air-conditioning unit in the room took up valuable space in an already confined area.
