Ennios Boutique Hotel

Given the Hotel being Very Old, it was renovated and made into a more Modern Room. The shower and bathroom was excellent. Vet Central to the Port and Shopping Centre.

Obviously and Understandably so with the Hotel being so old, we could have use a lift to take the bags to my room on the first floor. Had to carry one at a time. No storage facility at Hotel.

Breakfast was really good. Lots of choices. Freshly made and hot. Staff were lovely. Helpful and accommodating.

Stairs up to the room. Not good for people with luggage and disabilities

Room was small but the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and large enough.

The Booking.com listing lists "Parking" under "Most Popular Facilities." When we arrived, however, we were told that the hotel had only 6 parking places for all the guests, and that they were all taken. The closest parking was 15 minutes away. The receptionist blamed us for not searching the hotel website to find the fine print that stated that parking was largely unavailable unless reserved days in advance. After 45 minutes spent searching for parking and dragging our luggage across town, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. At the restaurant, we chose to have 5 appetizers for our dinner, expecting them to be served in courses. Instead, all dishes were brought at the same time, too many to fit on the table or for the warm dishes to stay hot for the duration of the meal. Once again, we were blamed for not directing that the food be served in sequences, which should be obvious in any fine dining establishment. First the server said that we should not have requested them all at once. When we told him that was not correct, the waitress said, "Well, in England, the appetizers are always served at the same time." I live in London, and have never been served this way. To add insult to injury, the GBP 200+ bill included a GBP 25 "service charge." With both the parking and the restaurant, had the staff apologized and accepted responsibility, we could be more forgiving. To blame the guests, however, is unacceptable.
