Hotel Leifur Eiriksson

Location was perfect as it was 5 min walking to all shops and restaurants as well as easily walkable to the bay 15 minutes away. Great staff and very clean accomodations.

The hotel was in a great location opposite the famous church and next to the famous streets. Breakfast was a lovely selection of cakes, pastries, croissant and breads with cold meats, fish fresh fruit etc. There were also a lot of additional things all making it a very substantial meal. A coffee machine was in use for breakfast and during the day which was a bonus. The Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful at all times . Our room was a good size with a large Tv and good wifi. Comfort able bed with good quality bedding and a nice window which we kept open for fresh Icelandic air. Good shower and an excellent supply of clean towels.

The only thing we didn't like was the bedside lighting. Very modern style but totally not for purpose. They were hanging bulbs with no shades and at about eye level. So if you turned them in you were blinded and the only alternative was the ceiling light. Not a big issue but the bedside lights were totally impractical and ugly. Everything else was great

It was a perfect location to explore Reykjavik.
