Location in the countryside and views from the bar. Spa.

Overpriced restaurant with small portions for the price.

The breakfasts were very good with lots of choices. Our bedroom was a reasonable size & was well placed, with good views.

The size of the bathroom was very small. The taps on the sink were difficult to use. The of height of the bath sides were high and was difficult to get in & Out of as there were no hand rails to aid getting in & out of the bath.

Slaley hall is a lovely location and when we finally did get into our room it was nice and spacious and pool area was lovely too

Very unfriendly reception staff when we arrived our room wasn’t ready at 3pm and was informed by reception that 3pm is only a guide and it’s from 3pm and room is still being cleaned and wouldn’t I rather have a room that’s properly cleaned than one that’s only had 5 minutes spent on it I was flabbergasted myself my husband and 2 young grandchildren had to wait in the foyer, one of my grandchildren has additional needs and husband has mobility issues, which is unacceptable, at no point were we offered even to wait somewhere comfortable in the hotel, when my husband went back to ask again the staff were rude again and didn’t even apologise about our wait, not great when you have just arrived this was a special family treat.
