Very good location for using as a base to visit railway attractions in the area, staff all very helpful 👍
Only thing was the door on room made a noise when another room door was opened and closed, appolloges for not saying every thing fine once all resident's where in there rooms, some draft excluder should fix it I think

The views were amazing. Loved the balcony room. Breakfast was lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved my stay.

We have stayed 4 times at the George over recent months and found the hotel fine. Breakfast is a little slow some days.

Comfortable bed and good shower.
Leaking toilet and too close to the wall. A very large pile of laundry bags, filled with dirty linen that smelt, in the entrance hall to the accommodation building. A very average breakfast and told although breakfast was included and paid for we could not have cereal, yoghurts, fruit etc unless we paid an additional £6 per person!!
Most of buildings requires maintenance - any remedial work looks very amateurish!
