Location! Pure lake district vibes.
Hospitality outstanding
Views from our room were excellent.
Breakfast very very good.
Private parking.
The only 2 things that lets down our experience was the bed.
Didnt have any good sleep at all.
Mattress extremely uncomfortable
And bed made a loud noise when moving in bed so it kept waking me up during the nights.
Highly recommend a update to kind size and better quality pillows and mattress.
And change the lamp bulbs from a cool white bulb to a warm white to make it more cozy

Such a perfect place to stay to explore the lakes! John & Heather were such lovely hosts, gave us lots of tips and advice on our walks. Breakfast was delicious too, and the rooms were comfortable with everything we needed. Location is ideal to walk into Keswick, and do the Derwent Water walk as well as Catbells. Some bigger walks including Skiddaw and Blencathra were just a short drive away.

The breakfast selection and service was second to none and the proximity to the town centre was very good. The property was quiet, well maintained and clean. The only place that we stayed that had USB ports - well done!
The bathroom was very small and the main room lacked ventilation. We had hot weather and so it made it uncomfortable. We thought it a little chintzy on the sundries - 1 small bottle of water and one small shampoo for two people for a two night stay. I think they could afford to do better on the small things like that.
