A short walk to Icon Mall, comfortable, quiet rooms, a nice pool with multiple daybed options.

The gym was right outside the conference room with poor air conditioning and clear glass to look through at you! Not conducive to a workout! The pool closed at 8pm so no late evening swims to cool off before bed 🙁 The breakfast buffet has little change each day with no bananas in sight which is odd for Bali.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was large and very comfortable, with soft pillows and a great mattress, so we slept really well. The location is also convenient if you’re getting around by scooter, taxi or car. It’s not the easiest place to walk from to the beach, tourist areas, shops or restaurants, but everything is very quick and easy to reach by transport. We actually preferred this to staying on one of the smaller, busier streets, so overall we liked the location. The hotel is a good option for a short stay when you want somewhere comfortable and convenient as a base for exploring the area.

The main thing we found strange was the room layout. All of the rooms have windows facing into the hotel rather than outside. Some rooms face a very narrow corridor, with the windows of other rooms directly opposite and very close. Other rooms face the pool and cost more, but we weren’t really sure why we would want to pay extra for a view of the pool. The whole concept felt a little confusing to us, especially because the hotel has a beautiful open corridor with a nice view of the Balinese rooftops on the other side. It seems like the rooms could have had a much nicer view and more privacy if the windows had simply faced that direction. The pool was also surprisingly shallow. It’s a large pool, but it was much shallower than we expected and not really suitable for proper swimming. It was probably the shallowest large hotel pool we’ve seen. Apart from these things, we had a good stay and would happily come back for a short stop.
