Great location for us

The staff were very nice especially at Breakfast, and what a gorgeous breakfast it was, the full English was exceptional
Noise from the street outside, windows weren’t the best at keeping the sound out, but that wasn’t too bad to be honest

Nice hotel, staff friendly, check in easy process.
Carpets could do with updating or a deep shampoo, and some touching up on paintwork as there are scuffs on the walls
6 / 10Nella media·set 2026
Friendly staff, spacious bar and dining area, library/board games room. Food quality. Lots of history and close to shops.
Breakfast was not included but we paid in advance. What we were paying for (at guest price not walk-in) was not explained very well and it didnt really end up any significant value. Other guests were very noisy during the night and we had issues with the door key / locking mechanism which again, was not explained at reception. Car park very small and we were lucky a space became available at the 2nd attempt.
