Such a lovely place to stay! The grounds are also lovely, the rooms are great and the food is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Such a lovely touch to have a glass of prosecco on arrival!!! Highly recommend.

Breakfast was huge and tasty. Got married 40 years ago in Ambleside and Dalston Hall was where we spent out first night of married life. Lovely to be back.
Didn’t need quite so much piped music but it didn’t kill us.

Very friendly and welcoming arrival.
Carl was available throughout our stay to assist with anything we required. His friendly professional manner was appreciated by our group. Carl gave us additional information information on the Hall and also a short tour of the building after check in. The grounds are beautiful and the bedrooms spacious.
We enjoyed the games room and bar area.
Food provided was delicious both in the evening and at breakfast.
Understandably in a very old building some items are tired and worn. It added to the atmosphere and experience in some areas. If I were to be picky a few finishing touches in the bathroom and bedroom areas could have been better. The carpet although clean was stained.
