Moore House

Location was excellent, in the heart of the old town. The choice at breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

t The room was small and we couldn.t see out, a strange film was stuck to the window to obscure the view of rooftops. I would come again but would make sure that I had a larger room with a view out the window. My husband felt claustrophobic to begin with, There was no onsite parking, we had to pull up outside on a narrow street, unload and then drive to a public car park, about 3 minutes away,

The house was very nice - the situation absolutely great - decorated with taste and the breakfast very good with great products

Lovely nice clean comfortable room with everything you need brilliant walkin shower breakfast was great lots of choices and a nice friendly lady with red hair who served everyone she always had a smile on her face and couldn’t do enough for you a real credit to the hotel

Nowhere to park it was a challenge with someone who had mobility issues

Everyone we met were welcoming and friendly which was really nice. The room was very clean and the breakfast room spacious and delightful, a real surprise for us! Room and particularly the breakfast room beautifully designed and a good layout, good quality and comfortable facilities, very well thought out. Breakfast itself was superb and arrived quickly, we were well attended and made to feel welcome each morning. The choice for breakfast was spot on and flexible too (for us "awkward" vegetarians). It was nice to discover the lounge area in the breakfast room which would be most welcome on a wet day for reading and relaxing. The location is perfect for access to the Old Town and George Street shops - perfect! My wife is a wheelchair user but has some walking mobility, there are some slightly awkward small steps to deal with at the entrance and a heavy gate to manage so accessibility is limited.

We had the ground floor room which was very nice but quite small though and better used as a base than it would be for spending any time in. We were out most of the time though so it was just a bit of tv and then some sleep. Our first night we had some strange scraping noises like a trolley below in the courtyard accompanied by a man's deep voice and what sounded like some furniture assembly going on for some time in the early hours of the morning, very strange? Second nice was nice, quiet and peaceful though.
