Black Rock House

The location of Black Rock House is very close to the station about a 10 minute walk its quite a steep uphill walk so not suitable if carrying heavy luggage. Breakfast well what a selection the fruit bowls were fresh and plentiful with lots of different yogurts to adorn the fruit. Cereals. toast and croissants with an abundance of jams and conserves you don't always need an English Breakfast to feel full plenty of tea and coffee what more could you want if you wanted something hot I would recommend the scrambled eggs and salmon on toast you would not be disappointed and Vincent the Host is most generous and full of information. My room was vey quiet and cosy the shower was amazing

I could honestly say that there are not really any dislikes only the hill.

Our host, Vincent, is very proud of what he provides, and with good reason. He went to every effort to make sure we were comfortable, providing personal recommendations for places to go and things to do, as well as making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is a special experience, with all guests seated around one table, and Vincent hosting in a very professional way. All produce are high quality, and Vincent's scrambled eggs are exceptional, but there are plenty of other things to eat if that is not your thing. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and bright, with good quality bedding, very nice shower, quality towels, toiletries, and refreshments (fresh milk, tea, ground coffee, biscuits, and bottled water provided). We would highly recommend a stay here, and will be booking again. Thank you!

There is a steep hill coming back from the town centre, and steep steps to come up from the station. However, there are plenty of taxis for those not able to manage this hilly town.

We loved the quirky nature of the decor and the personal attention from Vincent. The breakfast had everything, and the egg on toast with salmon delicious. Parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. Very enjoyable.

La casa è effettivamente vicina alla stazione dei treni, anche se il percorso per raggiungerla a piedi è un po' faticoso con valigie pesanti. Di fatto, però, ci sono i taxi per raggiungerla.
