Hotel Aru Kyoto Sanjo Kiyamachi Do-ri

I loved the hotel. Great location -near the train station, pontocho alley, Nishiki market- everything super clean, spacious, kind staff, free coffee and drinks all day... can't wait to come back!

Great location, clean and quiet

There wasn’t enough storage space, so we ended up leaving a lot of our clothes on the chairs. The bathroom was always very humid, which made it difficult to dry our towels. The window was covered with an opaque film, so there was no view at all.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel was very clean, beautiful, and in a great location. Everything was very comfortable, and all the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We especially loved having coffee, soft drinks, and water available throughout the day. We also received two complimentary bottles of water every day, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast was also very good, with a great variety of options. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location and great amenities. Very close to the metro lines and within 10-12 minutes walk to one of Kyoto’s main train stations. Room was well stocked, and complimentary water every day was very welcome. Area was fantastic, with Pontocho Alley and Kamo River at our doorstep.

The single pillow on each bed was incredibly hard. It made for an uncomfortable sleep if you don’t like firm, flat pillows.
