We were given a family room, which had two large windows overlooking the river. The free access to the health centre was a great bonus. Breakfast was good.
There was no Netflix on the old TV. The bar menu was very restricted.

The room was great, large and just what we needed. Food for dinner was fantastic, breakfast was good. Spa was also lovely, slightly dated now especially in the changing rooms but still great to use. Would definitely stay again for the price and location. With a bit of modernisation it could be a really impressive hotel and spa.
The bathroom was quite dated with a shower curtain which was far too big for the bath. The shower wasn't the best and was coming off the wall but it was all working which was good.

Everything . Perfect location . Dana who greeted us was such a lovely guy. Very helpful. A great personality & couldn’t do enough for us. The room Aa gorgeous with Great Lake views.
The spa, sauna & swimming pool were immaculate. Great size pool & once again tte staff were so lovely.
The restaurants & bars were beautiful & the food was amazing. Fir us the best hotel in tye Lake District . Already booked again for my birthday next year.

The location of the hotel is fabulous, stunning place with beautiful views.
The staff were amazing. We could see they were short staffed but they did their shift with a smile and were so helpful and kind.
A special thank you to Victoria who went out of her way to help with various requests. Nothing was any trouble for her. Always smiling & very professional. I'm sure she is a valued member of the team.
Room was OK but decor & beds need updating. Mattress was uncomfortable, lumpy. Bathroom was lovely.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice & food hot.
Dinner was disappointing, 4 out of 6 of our party did not enjoy the meal. Not a lot of choice on evening menu.
