The room was lovely and tidy, facilities were good.
Honestly there wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Always my go to hotel when staying in Southend. Now the season is nearly over, it is much quieter. A very restful stay. I liked the addition of the excellent fan in the room as it was still quite warm.
I think I was in room 207. The only negative point in this room is there is only one socket near the window by the bed. Made it difficult to use my phone charger, would help if there were charge points by the bed. The hairdryer, although was provided didn't quite reach to the mirror so couldn't see myself when drying my hair. I also had to ask for some coat hangers as there where none in the wardrobe.

This property was really nice, very comfortable. The rooms were really big with lovely big beds and the host was really nice and very accommodating and friendly. Have booked another night this week. Access to bars and restaurants along the sea front too

I loved the location, the shower and the recently refurbed fresh look to the place. It certainly had a comfy bed and was a really good sized room. I especially appreciated the bathroom fan went off swiftly after the lights and wasn't bothered by other guests bathrooms either :)
No bed side lamps and MASSIVELY bright LED light spotlights at one end of the room or Super Bright LED feature light at the other in bright blue white. This was less than optimum and meant using the bathroom light in the evening and torches on phones to get to bed after the big light went off.
Also stank of smoke. But not the hotel/guest house's fault, as signs everywhere said no smoking.
Fridge door could do with reversing but managable :)
